Biography "late principal tenore and director of music, St. Stephen's church, New York" (1866) Studied music in Italy 1851-54. Returned to Boston to appear as soloist. Severely wounded at the Battle of Chickamauga (1863). Went to New York, worked in the U.S. Customs service until retirement. directed various choirs including that of the 28th Street Catholic Church
