Life

Born: Cincinnati OH Dec. 22, 1868

Died: Cincinnati OH, October 19,1958

Biography Choir boy at St. Joseph's church. 1890 entered Cincinnati College of music, graduating 1901 (MM 1924, Mus D 1934 ; LL.D Xavier University 1927) Studied voice with Tecla Vigna and Lino Mattioli and composition with Almon W. Vincent and Dr. Nicholas J. Elsenheimer. Sang in the St. Francis de Sales church choir for 40 years. Arranged and sang in the first American performance of Bruckner's F minor mass (St. Francis de Sales Church, Cincinnati, on July 15, 1900) and became Chairman of the Bruckner Society of America in 1932
