Born: December 23, 1819, Munich

Died: April 19, 1892, Paris

Biography Son of the violinist Johann Nepomuk Cavallo (1784-1858), he studied at the Conservatory in Munich. His brother Johann Nepomuk Cavallo (1840-1917) worked in Munich with Franz Lachner and Josef Rheinberger. Peter Cavallo settled in Paris around 1843 where he was organist at Saint-Nicolas des Champs, and St. Vincent de Paul between 1851 and 1863.
