Died: April 20 1866, Cincinnati
Biography Came to US ca. 1820. Ca. 1827 active in Pittsburgh. Involved with George Rapp's Harmony Society 1828-31. Moved to Louisville 1832. Involved in amultitude of publishing ventures. 1851 moves to Cincinnati and forms W. C. Peters & Sons, specializing in Catholic music and in instructional materials. March 22 1866, company premises burn, all stock and plates destroyed, Peters dies of heart failure 1 mo. later,
