Life
Born: ca. 1889 Died:
Biography Received doctor of Music from University of Munich. Ordained September 8, 1916, Paderbourn, Westphalia. Served as chaplain in German Army and was gassed.. Brought from Europe to serve as organist/choirmaster.assistant pastor of St. Johns Cathedral, Cleveland, in 1928. Taught music at St. John and Notre Dame Colleges.In 1937, studies for 6 months at Quarr Abbey on the Isle of Wight. Director of Palestrina Chorus (500 voices) 1935. Pastor of Immaculate Conception Church, Bedford by 1946, retires ca. 1957, to Germany for medical treatment and visits mid-July 1957. Students included Frank Matousek, organist at St. Jon Nepomuk.
