Born: January 18, 1910, Montpellier France
Died: September 23, 1984, Montélimar, France
Biography Henri Carol was a student at the cloister St. Francis in Montpellier, where he studied under professor of harmony and organ Emmanuel Berle. He obtained a first prize in piano at the Conservatory of Bordeaux. Ordained in 1933, he became a professor at the Petit Séminaire Saint-Roch of Montpellier, where he held the post of chapel master. In January 1946, he was appointed Director of the boy choir of the Cathedral of Monaco, succeeding canon Aurat
He was a choirmaster, composer, conductor, musicologist, and for eleven years, a professor at the Academy of Music Foundation Prince Rainier III of Monaco (1967). He became organist of the great organ of the Cathedral of Monaco in 1968, succeeding Emile Bourdon.
On Sunday, September 23, 1984 in the evening, Father Carol died in a road accident. He was 74 years old.
